Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026
1. Who this is for
KidsBuddy is a chat application that uses an AI model to talk with children around age 10. The account is created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian - not the child. By creating or signing in to an account, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child who uses it, and that you consent to their use of the service under your direct supervision.
2. AI-generated content
Responses in KidsBuddy are generated automatically by an AI model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or nonsensical, and are not reviewed by a human before being shown. Nothing in this service is professional advice of any kind - not medical, mental-health, legal, safety, or educational advice - and it is not a substitute for a parent, teacher, doctor, or other trusted adult.
3. Content moderation is automated and imperfect
We use an automated content filter intended to keep conversations age-appropriate. It is a best-effort technical control, not a guarantee - it may occasionally let inappropriate content through, or block content that was actually fine. You are responsible for supervising your child's use of the service and for deciding whether it's appropriate for your child.
4. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of KidsBuddy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from use of the service, including reliance on anything an AI-generated response says. The service is provided free of charge; to the extent any liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount (if any) you paid to use the service.
6. Account responsibility
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account, including your child's use of it.
7. Changes and termination
We may change these terms or the service itself at any time, and may suspend or terminate access for any account. We'll make a reasonable effort to post changes to these terms on this page.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
